Tarifa (Cádiz)

Tarifa is located in the Strait of Gibraltar and in the Natural Park of the Strait.  Lying between the two great winds, Levante and Ponente, one can admire the tip of Tarifa called Isla de las Palomas where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet.  Just across the sea, on the other shore only 14 km away, you can appreciate the Maghreb coast with Morocco, the mountains of the Rif and the city of Tangiers.

The historical center of Tarifa is absolutely stunningly and is bordered by medieval-style walls. You have to see its alleyways, courtyards, squares, churches and of course, last but not least, the Castle of Guzman el Bueno just right beside the port.

The beaches and the magnificent wind offer a natural paradise for kite-surfing and windsurfing, thus attracting thousands from all over the world.

Amongst the most beautiful are the beaches of Los Lances, Punta Paloma with their huge sand dunes and the beach of Bolonia which is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. If you visit Bolonia you will be able to admire the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Baelo Claudia which has been kept in excellent condition.

Pachamama is located right in the middle of the natural park and is just about 5km from the town centre and is just right in front of the wonderful Los Lances beach.
